As Microsoft is changing her strategy towards a Devices and Services organization, many Microsoft SMB Partners are forced to review and rebuild their current business model. In stead of just selling hardware or licenses, it is time to think about serious sustainable cloud propositions or practices which will be profitable on a short term (think about 2 years)

Today I would like to inform you that last December 2013 and January 2014, JCC Consultancy conducted a online survey among 500 Microsoft SMB Partners in the Netherlands. These SMB Partners have a Managed and Unmanaged status and 344 of the 500 SMB Partners answered the survey.
In these blog post I will not share all survey results, but i do want to give you an insight what is really happening within the Microsoft Unmanaged SMB partner world.
- Over 74 % of Microsoft Unmanaged SMB Partners answered in the survey that they will change their business model and propositions in 2014!!
- Over 54% of Microsoft Unmanaged SMB Partners pointed out that they will need help in execution in terms of Strategy,Sales and Marketing in 2014.
74% and 54 are huge numbers and I do want to challenge Unmanaged SMB Partners to give their opinion on the survey result above.
Are you really changing your business model and if so, i want to hear from Microsoft Unmanaged SMB Partners what their problems are and why they have difficulties in executing their short and long-term plan in the field of Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Delivery.
So looking at these results, I think we all should seriously think about how to help these Unmanaged Partners.
