Summary of December 3rd: Microsoft Non managed SMB Partner Connected Services hires JCC Consultancy to organize special Executive roundtable :How to make more revenue and profit with Office 365?

This afternoon the Executive roundtable for owners/founders from Microsoft SMB/Cloud partners took place and it was a success. The roundtable was fully packed with attendees and we had to decline new attendees.

Microsoft Non managed SMB Partner Connected Services hired JCC Consultancy, an unique nicheplayer in the Microsoft Non managed SMB partners worldwide, to help them to drive partner channel development and organized a special Executive roundtable for owners/ founders from Microsoft SMB and Cloud partners at Microsoft Netherlands HQ at Schiphol.

A market survey among Microsoft SMB partners has shown that a lot of Microsoft SMB (managed or non managed) and Cloud partners has difficulty to realize more revenue with selling Office 365.

Based on this survey, Connected Services  has decided to organize a special roundtable together with Microsoft Netherlands for ICT SMB companies.

JCC Consultancy update: First day Microsoft Office 365 Summit in Toronto Canada

Hi everyone,

Having visited the SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas last march (go here for my blog on the event), the WPC Washington last July ( go here for blog on that event) and the Office 365 Drumbeat event in Cologne Germany (click here for blog on that event)  in April, this time JCC Consultancy will do Toronto, Canada.

It is 6.00 am in the morning in Toronto and i have been awake since 3.00 am, because of a jetlag. But hey no sweat, you just get up and go to the gym in the Hyatt Regency hotel, which is right in the middle of downtown Soho and near the Rogers stadium and work out.

After the workout i got the chance to pay a visit to the 24/7 store Rabba and bought some delicious Canadian Maple Syrup.

This morning i had a breakfast meeting with Senior Channel Marketing Manager of Microsoft HQ to introduce JCC Consultancy and to talk about the Microsoft Non Managed SMB partners market in Canada.

I also met up with Olu Abikoye, Business Technology Systems & Project Delivery Analyst, Corporate Systems at Vision Critical.

After the breakfast, the keynote was kicked off by Jason Brommet, Director Partner Strategy Partners Microsoft Canada by telling that Microsoft new strategy to be a productivity and platform organization in a cloud and mobile ready world will impact the way partners are working. He also spoke about how Microsoft is going to help Microsoft partners to better transform their current business model and help them to save costs and realize more revenue and margins.

The most impressive session in my opinion was the one presented by IDC’s Channel and Alliances Research Darren Bibby. His session was called Business Partner Success in the Era of the Third Platform and showing what is really going in the market in Canada if it comes to opportunities and threats. Darren also gave some advice and tricks on how to become a succesful Cloud partner for your customers.

This day JCC Consultancy attended Leaderschip, Sales, Marketing and SMB partners and market. The sessions gave me an impression how much attention Microsoft is paying and investing in renewing and reinventing the SMB partner channel in FY15. This year  Microsoft has decided to organize a special meeting for Microsoft First time Attendees and JCC Consultancy got involved with the Mentor program which means that I can help and advice first time attendees who need to find their way at the WPC event.

New community for only Microsoft Non Managed partners worldwide : 3000 members by the end of 2015!

Furthermore, we want to create a new community for Microsoft Non Managed SMB Partners worldwide. Our goal is to have 3000 Microsoft Non Managed partners to become member of this community by the end of 2015. With that size we will be a strong community with a strong voice to provide Microsoft Corporation with the right feedback so Microsoft can adjust their strategy and plans for the Microsoft Non Managed SMB Partners.

IC MNM Membership: what is the business value for you?

  • Save business time: Normally you are out of office for 5- 7 days : 40-50 hours you are non productive
  • Save event ticket: €1500,- euro
  • Save airplane expenses:€ 900,- €1000,- euro
  • Save hotel expenses: € 1300,- euro

In short, it was a perfect session in which the Executives gave feedback how their experiences are working with Microsoft and how they are facing challenges in terms of making the right decision regarding Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Delivery.

Finally this session generated new insights and feedback provided by these Executives from Microsoft Non Managed SMB Partners and with these intel I will give feedback to Jared Spataro and his team in Redmond.

Today is Pick up day at the SharePoint Conference in Vegas

Goodmorning everyone,

Today it is Sunday March 2nd and it is the day where all attendees can pick up their All Access pass. Enjoy the ambiance in the Venetian Hotel and the Casinos and the many Shopping malls.

I just picked up my Pass and it was already quite busy and warm in the Registration Ball room.  There was quite a line up and for those who are going to register later on today, take into consideration that there might be a long line before you can register.

In my case this morning, there was some problem with finding my badge name after I had scanned the barcode. So they refer me to the Helpdesk where it took them 10 minutes to find my registration back. During those 10 minutes the helpdesk  employees (3 of them were minding my business) asked me 5 times what my name was and they kept my passport and did not want to give it back to me. I think that was quite crazy and it looked like I was passing the airport security gate.

Anyway, after 10 minutes they found my name in the system and printed out my badge. To my surprise, it was stated on my badge that I am a US citizen and from USA in stead of the Netherlands. And I do not even have a green card:-).

How strange huh. And no I did not register myself incorrectly during the registration for this event earlier this year:-).

Let us keep this as a startup system failure and mistake and the rest of the event will be awesome. Tonight there is going to be a Welcome Reception and I look forward to this.
